The Perfect Christmas treat for all the Family

Meet the wicked Al-Zaman and his incompetent henchmen Mustafa Marsbar and Mustafa Malteeza as they pursue our intrepid hero, Ali Baba, who has stumbled upon the secret of the magic cave. Laugh at Ali’s outrageous sister-in-law Rum Baba, her long-suffering husband Kasim and their quick-witted son, Khalif, who is hopelessly in love with the beautiful servant-girl Bashira...

Also featuring Cantab, the very smelly Camel!

This all-time favourite story from the Tales of the Arabian Nights is retold by Colin Wakefield, with original songs and music by Kate Edgar – and a hugely talented cast of actor-musicians, ready to present the famous legend “before your very eyes!”

This brand new version of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, specially commissioned for Theatre Royal Margate, is packed to the brim with comedy, adventure, romance and audience participation – the perfect Christmas treat for all the family.
