by R. C. Sherriff
- Presented by Sir Roger Manwood’s School
R. C. Sherriff’s classic play, written from his own experiences in the trenches, has been translated into every European language and performed all over the world. The play explores the strategies men use to survive in the claustrophobic atmosphere of an officers’ dugout before a major First World War offensive. The production emphasises the pathos of these young men as the play is performed by a cast the same age as the eager Raleigh.
