NEW MEMBERS WANTED!
SENIOR YOUTH THEATRE 11 to 18 years old

SYT and JYT are led by Martin Gibbons, an actor and one of Theatre Royal Margate’s associate artists.
In March 2012 SYT will be performing the comedy youth work 'How to be a Monster' by Ade Morris. Directed by Martin Gibbons. Martin tells us
“ As a practitioner I am interested in using theatre spaces as dream spaces. I don’t buy the realism and push for naturalism in theatre; the stage should go beyond the day to day, creating worlds that can only exist in imagination.
This totally influences my work”.
Youth Theatre members have been working on physical theatre and using the body to convey the story and tapping into the techniques and Laban movement analysis. The new terms starts in January and details of how to join can be obtained by using the details below.
