WHERE ARE WE?

Theatre Royal Margate,

BY CAR from London and Whitstable:

Follow the Thanet way (A299), towards Margate. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Canterbury Rd (A28) and follow the signs for Margate.

By Car from Dover and Deal and Ramsgate: Follow the A256 to Ramsgate/Sandwich, Take Margate Rd (A255).

Parking:
There are a number of car parks when you reach Margate all within walking distance of the theatre. Free street parking is also available on most of the surrounding roads after 7pm.

BUS & TAXIS:
There are direct buses coming from as far as Canterbury, these buses are Stagecoach No. 8 and 8a, and buses that will also take you to Cecil Square Margate are No. 34, 33, 32 and the Thanet Loop all stop within a short walk of the Theatre. Taxis are also available from Cecil Square.

Travelling from Canterbury
If you are coming from Canterbury, the last bus from Cecil Square ( near the theatre ) to Canterbury leaves at 22.23 Monday to Saturday, 21.53 on Sundays.

TRAINS:
There are frequent trains (arriving approx. every 15 minutes) from across Kent including Canterbury, Herne Bay Whitstable, Sandwich, Deal, Dover and further afield London. The theatre is a 15 minute walk or just a short bus journey, taxis are also available from outside the station.

Travelling from London
If you are coming from London, the last train from Margate to Victoria leaves at 22.16 Monday to Saturday, with a later 22.45 to Cannon Street on Sundays.

ON FOOT:
From the train station, turn right and head straight into the town and past the Thanet Gateway and KCC Library on your right (Cecil Square), then turn left into Hawley Square. The Theatre is on the left hand side.
